IAEE DC - Volunteer Day
Join IAEE DC for an association-wide volunteer day with A Wider Circle Essential Support Program. This program focuses on providing basic need items for the home to our neighbors working to uplift. The donations received include household furniture, linens, kitchen items, toys, and professional clothing and accessories. Volunteers help to sort donations and stock the showrooms, A Wider Circle clients select their items from and with the help of volunteers, A Wider Circle is able to furnish 10-20 homes free of charge each day.
A Wider Circle follows all CDC recommendations to ensure we can “do good” while keeping our community healthy. All volunteers are asked to social distance, wear masks, follow good hand hygiene practices, and complete a health questionnaire before each engagement. Vaccines are required for those who are eligible (health and religious exemptions are allowed). This is an SSL hour approved opportunity, if the volunteer day includes children who may want to collect these for school.
